Launch Day

After several busy and hectic days of preparation, Tuesday and Wednesday saw most of the boats lifted and hoisted into Batavia Marina by Geraldton Cranes to have their first dip in the Indian Ocean. All boats apart from Hoppipola and Doing Time have now been launched and are going through the final stages of scruitineering with the last finishing touches being added. After some problems in customs, Hoppipola was finally ready to go on the water on Friday morning. Nearly all the teams have now had a row out past the breakwater to have the first experience of the Indian Ocean.
